Zwift Secures $120m Investment to Help Develop Running Offering

Zwift, a multiplayer online training and racing platform for cyclists and runners, today announced $120 million in funding, reflecting its commitment to both growing its new running discipline and expanding into esports. Born out of the desire to create an indoor exercise option that was effective, social and engaging, the Zwift App enables users to ride or run with friends from all over the globe, complete structured workouts, and participate in group events in several virtual environments.

Richmond RUNFEST Raises Record Amount for Charity

It’s been announced that runners at this year’s ‘realbuzz.com Richmond RUNFEST’ raised over £630,000 for charity. Since it started in 2013 this event has now raised over £2m for charities and local community groups.

The 2018 Richmond RUNFEST saw just under 10,000 runners taking part, including the new 5k in Old Deer Park.

Next year’s Richmond RUNFEST will continue to have the 5k, 10k and Kids’ Mile on Saturday 14th September and the Half Marathon, Full Marathon and Family Mile on Sunday 15th September.
