An Important Appeal from The Running Bee Foundation

Published on

Covid-19 has had a devastating impact on communities across the world, so many charities have suffered through lack of funding and events, which enable them to raise vital cash for well-deserving causes.

With forms of restrictions in place across the North West since March 2020, it has now almost been a year since the Running Bee Foundation has staged a running event – having a dramatic effect on the fundraising activity they have been able to produce.

This lack of funding has halted the work that the Running Bee have been able to carry out in supporting Health and Wellbeing initiatives across their communities. Furthermore, they have been unable to further develop their plans to help in the fight to reduce childhood obesity.

The Running Bee’s mission is to promote and encourage all adults and children to enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle and over the last 12 months they have created a number of virtual events, along with promoting advice on healthy living across all of their digital platforms.

There is positivity that events, fundraising activities and community engagement programmes will be able to commence from summer – however the Running Bee still needs your help make a real difference in their communities, schools and workplaces.

You make real change by purchasing one of their running tops (Long Sleeve and Short Sleeve options are available) or a limited-edition Tour of Tameside running vests for fans of the famous four-day running event.

Profits from all sales will go directly to community initiatives across the North West, with previous grant recipients including Age UK, local schools, boxing clubs, community playing fields and many more.

Your money will help the Running Bee Foundation give grant funding to community groups and small charities to enable them to deliver active, healthy support programmes, positive partnerships with local mental health organisations, to encourage movement and development within schools and many more.

Every purchase or donation will make a huge difference – and for every pound raised, Sports Tours International will match the price for the next month. (15th Feb 2021onwards).
