Brooks Pick Run Happy Team!

Published on

The running shoe expert Brooks has put together a European team of 110 running enthusiasts for 2019. Brooks received almost 4000 applications for the Run Happy Team, from passionate runners from all over Europe who wanted to become part of the team and represent the spirit of the brand (and get free stuff).

They were looking for all types of runner, from beginner to experienced marathon runner, as long as they fit the criteria for being enthusiastic and exuding optimism and energy! 25 applicants were selected from the UK and Ireland, and they now have the goal of motivating others to run and be active. True to its motto “Run Happy“, the sports shoe manufacturer is convinced of the positive power of running and offers the Run Happy Team this special opportunity to be part of this enthusiasm and share it with others. Throughout the year, the members will obviously receive the latest Brooks products, but also innovative training plans from experts and professionals as well as invitations to selected events.

Claire Butters, Brooks Marketing Manager for the UK, Ireland and Benelux, said on launching this initiative:

“Running has always been more than just a sport for Brooks – it is a connecting element! Run Happy is our philosophy. It is important to us as a brand that we get runners of all levels to have fun running and being active. No matter whether it’s the achievement of self-set goals, personal well-being or sporting success – the most important thing is experiencing the joy and energy that running sets free: Run Happy!”

So who will be on the UK and Ireland Run Happy Team? We await an announcement in the coming weeks.  Look out for members of the Run Happy Team at events, and share some miles with them to benefit from their enthusiasm and energy! Will they still look happy at mile 23 of a marathon? Probably.
