The virtual running event has attracted 380,000 sign ups from 173 countries and territories around the world.

Led by their country captain, Olympic gold medallist and Vitality Ambassador for the UK, Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, British runners logged their miles during the qualifying round which took place between 5-11th March 2020

Team UK who qualified in 4th place will take on the 11th placed the Egypt in the Round of 16 of the Vitality Running World Cup which starts on 14th March and last for 2 days.

Founded in order to make the world a happier, healthier place, the Vitality Running World Cup is not about being an elite athlete – it’s just about getting out and enjoying yourself, regardless of ability. The more miles that are logged, the greater chance a nation has of progressing through to the next round.

Even though the competition is underway – it’s not too late to get involved! Participants can continue to sign up until their country is knocked out.

You simply need to visit runningworldcup.com to download the app and sync your smart phone or device, then log a minimum of 3km in 30minutes to contribute towards your country’s total.
