Earlier this year we brought you news about TENZING’s Clean Air Tracker, helping runners to find less polluted routes to run in London. Now we’re bringing you news about the TENZING Clean Air Run Club for the new year!
Amidst the news that pollution in London has become so bad that it exceeded the European and UK air quality values just 77 days into 2019, TENZING partnered with King’s College London to launch the tracker which is designed to help Londoners find ‘clean air routes’.
The TENZING tracker syncs with STRAVA to show the Air Quality Score of the user’s route, raising awareness about the issue of air pollution in the capital, as well as a solution for the growing running community.
With the help of the app TENZING has mapped the London routes which are less affected by pollution in London and, in the Clean Air Run Club, they run them! The club covers around 7 – 10k each week and it’s free!
The club meets on a Thursday at 6.30pm at TENZING Base Camp, 66 Great Suffolk St, London, SE1 0BL. So if you’re fed up with running polluted routes in the city or you’re thinking about joining a running club in the new year, this could be a great option.
