The Golden Trail World Series heads to Chamonix for race number four at an iconic trail running location.
And it’s no surprise to see the stars out in force for this famous race, including the winners from last year – Sophia Luakli and Rémi Bonnet – who both make their 2024 GTWS reappearances as do plenty of other big names.
The action gets under way at starts 6.45am local time for the women and half an hour later for the men.
And there are any number of ways to follow the action, starting with live tracking here.
The race is broadcast on Eurosport and Golden Trail TV and will also be streamed on the GTWS YouTube channel – with English language commentary – which we’ve embedded below so you don’t even have to leave this page.
Marathon du Mont-Blanc
start list
After injury prevented her from running in the early part of the season, Sophia Laukli (USA – Salomon) makes a welcome return on Sunday. We’ve been chatting to her about a frustrating couple of months and her expectations of a repeat win – read more here.
Up against her will be Maude Mathys (SUI – Asics) who surprised even herself when she put a spell on the sidelines behind her with a brilliant win in the first leg in Japan.
The other highly-anticipated comebacks are Mădălina Florea (ROM – Salomon), who won the GTWS 2023 final and just proved her form at the European Championships, and Judith Wyder (SUI – Hoka), the runner-up in the overall standings last year. Click here to hear more from her.
In the men’s race there’s another eagerly-awaited return in the shape of Rémi Bonnet (CHE – Salomon), winner of both seasons 2022 and 2023.
He will be up against Elhousine Elazzaoui (MAR – Nnormal), current leader of the Series and three-time podium finisher since the beginning of this season.
The recent European Champion of the “Up & Down”, Roberto Delorenzi (CHE – Brooks) is also a podium player – hear more from him here.
And Bart Przedwojewski (POL – Salomon) is in great shape this season as shown by finishing on the podium just behind Kilian Jornet and Elhousine Elazzaoui at Zegama.
Tune in on Sunday to see who comes out on top!
