HOKA’s Instagram Athlete Takeover

HOKA are hosting athlete take overs on their social media in the coming weeks to inspire, motivate and encourage followers to stay active and great creative whilst we are all required to stay home and stay safe. 

Last week, Simone Mitchell shared her favourite core and abs home exercises here her full workouts are available for everyone to follow on IGTV.

Simone Mitchell – Wednesday Workout
Workout 1 – Core: 50 secs on / 10 secs rest

  • Single leg lowers with a pulse
  • Front plank touch
  • Bicycle
  • Doggie scoops
  • Double leg lower
  • R side plank pulse
  • Jesus
  • L side plank pulse
  • Roll down and crunch
  • Plank shoulder touch

Workout 2 – Lower body HIIT: 1 min on / 10s rest
1 min rest in between each set (x 3)

  • Right leg
  • Single leg stand ups
  • Single leg split squat pulse
  • Single leg split squat jumps
  • Wall hold with calf raise
  • Single leg Isometric squat pulse
  • Left leg
  • Single leg stand ups
  • Single leg split squat pulse
  • Single leg split squat jumps
  • Wall hold with calf raise
  • Single leg Isometric squat pulse

Workout 3 – Glutes: 1 min on each leg / 15 secs rest in between (x3)

  • Single leg glute bridge thrust off chair
  • Rear elevated foot spilt squat
  • Glute banded work: 1min on 10 / 15 secs rest (x2)
  • Crab walks
  • R Single leg iso hold and pulse
  • L Single leg iso hold and pulse
  • Sumo squat
  • Sumo squat pulse
  • Lying double bridge pulse

Workout 4 – Gliders all over body strength endurance: 1min on / 15 secs rest
1min between each circuit

  • R leg squat and back lunge
  • L leg squat and back lunge
  • Mountain climbers

Circuit 2 (x2)

  • Burpees + press up
  • Oblique rotations
  • Swimmers

  • Pull-stand push-stand
  • R Single leg split lunge
  • L Single leg split lunge

Immune-boosting smoothies

Red smoothie
5/6 strawberries
2 beetroot
½ banana
100ml water

Green smoothie
Handful spinach
1 orange
½ banana
100ml water

Spring frittata
3 zucchinis
8 eggs
2 cloves of garlic
Half a red onion (chopped)
Generous handful of spinach
Block of feta cheese
Dried oregano
Salt and pepper to season
