UK’s Biggest 10K Cancelled

Published on

The UK’s biggest 10K – the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run, set to take place in central London today has been cancelled due to Storm Ciara. Organisers called the event off on Friday afternoon considering the predicted consequences of the storm and their inability to guarantee the safety of the 25,000 runners, crew, volunteers and spectators. It is the first time in the event’s six-year history that they have had to cancel.

Those who have registered to run on Sunday are entitled to a refund and will be updated via email by 5pm on Wednesday 12th February. Organisers are also offering runners the opportunity to earn their medal by completing a 10km run anytime up until next Sunday 16th February by submitting proof from an app or tracking device online.
